How do you compare two drawing revisions?
Overlay the old and new sheet so the changes show in a different colour. Bluebeam and Adobe Acrobat both have a compare tool. Then go through each change and decide if it costs money.
Are all changes clouded on a revised drawing?
No. Clouds are a habit, not a guarantee. Numbers, notes and schedules can change with no cloud at all, so check the whole sheet.
Who pays for changes in a new drawing revision?
If the change came after you priced or signed, it is usually a change to the contract and can be priced as a change order. Check your contract for how changes are priced and how soon you must give notice.
What is the difference between an addendum and a revision?
An addendum is issued during bidding and becomes part of the contract. Changes after the contract is signed come as revised sheets with a change notice, like a site instruction or a change order request.
