Highly recommend the team at Veebar Tech! They’ve been a great partner for our web development, coding, and AI needs, taking the time to understand our business and recommend practical solutions. They explain technical concepts clearly, communicate well, and are easy to work with. A knowledgeable, professional, and reliable team—we’re glad to have their support.

Great company to work with, incredibly detail oriented and easy to work with. We really appreciated how they focused on solving the problem, not just appeasing customer desires. The work was returned ahead of schedule with capabilities on par and beyond what we were expecting. …

    04 Questions

    Short answers.

Which version of the Ontario Building Code is in force?

The 2024 Ontario Building Code, O. Reg. 163/24. It took effect on January 1, 2025. It is free to read on e-Laws.

What is the difference between Part 9 and Part 3 of the building code?

In Ontario, Part 9 covers buildings of 3 storeys or less, 600 square metres or less, for homes, offices, stores and light industry. Most other buildings are Part 3.

Can AI answer building code questions accurately?

Not on its own. AI can be wrong or quote an old code. Always open the article it names and read it yourself.

Who is responsible for building code compliance, the contractor or the designer?

Both. The designer signs drawings that must meet the code, and the contractor must build to them. The chief building official in your town has the last word. This guide is not legal or design advice.

Does this guide work outside Ontario?

The code sections are Ontario's. Other provinces and US states have their own building codes. The way to check an AI answer against the code works for any of them.

Can AI check drawings against the building code?

Yes, as a first pass. Our AI Employee reads the code, your drawings and specs, and answers with the article and the exact words. Your team checks it.
