AI for construction › Procurement

The problem

The crew finds out the tie wire is gone when the box is empty.

Nobody counts the container until something runs out. Then a crew stands around, someone drives to the supplier, and you pay a rush price for one box.

The fix ↓

01 Free sheet. Start it here.

Know what to order before you run out.

For construction companies with 3 to 50 staff. Type what you have on site, how much you use a day and how long a new order takes. See the days left for each item, and what to order today.

What your stock check looks like

Days left = on hand / use per day. Order when you reach the reorder point.

Example lines. Yours uses your own counts.

02 How AI does this job

Let AI do the busy work. Your team stays in charge.

  1. Crews send a photo of the delivery slip or a quick voice note when stock comes in or goes out.
  2. It keeps the count for each site and works out the days of stock left.
  3. It drafts the order before you hit the reorder point. Your PM says yes.

Around this job, the same AI Employee also:

  • Sends bid packages to subs and suppliers and chases the quotes.
  • Levels quotes line by line and shows the real low.
  • Writes POs and matches them to delivery slips and invoices.
  • Books deliveries and sends the super tomorrow's gate board.
  • Finds new bids that fit your work, every morning.

Highly recommend the team at Veebar Tech! They’ve been a great partner for our web development, coding, and AI needs, taking the time to understand our business and recommend practical solutions. They explain technical concepts clearly, communicate well, and are easy to work with. A knowledgeable, professional, and reliable team—we’re glad to have their support.

Great company to work with, incredibly detail oriented and easy to work with. We really appreciated how they focused on solving the problem, not just appeasing customer desires. The work was returned ahead of schedule with capabilities on par and beyond what we were expecting. …

04 Questions

Short answers.

How do contractors track material on site?

Most small contractors use a spreadsheet or a count sheet, with deliveries logged in and use logged out. A regular count, like once a week, keeps the sheet true.

How do you calculate a reorder point?

Use per day times the supplier's lead time, plus a few days of spare. When the count drops to that number, order again so new stock arrives before you run out.

How much safety stock should a contractor keep?

Enough days to cover a late truck or a busy week. It depends on how reliable the supplier is and what it costs if the crew stops. You pick the number.

Why does material go missing on job sites?

The usual causes are theft, damage, waste, material moved to another job without a note, and deliveries nobody checked against the slip. Checking every slip and locking up costly items helps.

Can I track stock across my yard and several sites?

Yes. The Excel file has a site column on every line, so one sheet covers the yard and every job.

Can AI track construction inventory?

Yes, the counting part. Our AI Employee keeps the count from delivery slips and site notes, and drafts the order before you hit the reorder line.
