AI for construction › Project Operations
The problem
The signs were there in week 4. You found out in week 12.
By the time the crew is standing around, the time is gone. If the delay notice goes out late, the lost weeks can end up on your bill, not the owner's.

Great company to work with, incredibly detail oriented and easy to work with. We really appreciated how they focused on solving the problem, not just appeasing customer desires. The work was returned ahead of schedule with capabilities on par and beyond what we were expecting. …

Short answers.
What are the most common causes of construction delays?
Late stock, late drawings or RFI answers, permits and inspections. Trades that do not show up. Owner changes, slow calls, late pay and bad weather. Most of them can be seen coming if someone is watching.
When do I have to give notice of a delay?
As soon as you know, and in writing. Your contract sets how and when. In CCDC 2, look at GC 6.5, Delays. In the US, AIA A201 generally gives you 21 days to start a claim.
What happens if I miss the delay notice deadline?
You can lose your right to extra time or money for that delay. Many contracts treat notice as a condition. If a deadline has passed, get legal advice.
What is the difference between excusable and non-excusable delay?
An excusable delay is out of your hands, such as an owner change. You can ask for more time. If it also earns you money, it is called compensable. A non-excusable delay is caused by you or your trades. You carry the cost.
Is the free delay notice letter legal advice?
No. It is a general letter that the page fills in for you, with a Word file too. Check your own contract for how and when notice must be given.
Can AI predict construction delays?
It can spot the warning signs early. Our AI Employee watches each job and warns your PM early. It drafts the notice so you send it on time.
