What is the difference between BIM and a digital twin?
BIM is the model used to design and build. A digital twin is kept up to date while the building is in use. It is often linked to live data from the building.
What is COBie and do I need it?
COBie is a common way to lay out handover data. It is a spreadsheet. You only need it if your contract asks for it. Either way, start with a clean asset list.
What should be in a construction handover package?
The asset list and the warranties. The O&M manuals and the as-builts. The upkeep plan too. All of it in a form the owner can use.
