AI for construction › Project Operations

The problem

Friday at 4 pm, the owner wants a progress report. You have 200 photos.

So the report gets written late, or it says 'going well' with no numbers. The owner stops trusting it, and your next draw takes longer to get paid.

The fix ↓

A weekly report your client will read.

For construction companies with 3 to 50 staff. One page. Percent done by trade, what got done, what is next and what you need from the owner. Try the percent calculator below.

Highly recommend the team at Veebar Tech! They’ve been a great partner for our web development, coding, and AI needs, taking the time to understand our business and recommend practical solutions. They explain technical concepts clearly, communicate well, and are easy to work with. A knowledgeable, professional, and reliable team—we’re glad to have their support.

Great company to work with, incredibly detail oriented and easy to work with. We really appreciated how they focused on solving the problem, not just appeasing customer desires. The work was returned ahead of schedule with capabilities on par and beyond what we were expecting. …

04 Questions

Short answers.

What should a weekly construction progress report include?

Where the job stands, what got done this week, what is next and what you need from the owner. Add changes and money, a watch list and photos. Keep it to one page so the owner reads it.

How do you calculate percent complete on a construction project?

Give each trade its dollar value and its percent done. Multiply them, add them up and divide by the total value. A trade worth more money counts for more, which is how most owners and banks look at progress.

How can I tell if a job is behind schedule?

Compare the percent of work done with the percent of time used so far. If work done is lower than time used, the job is behind.

What is the difference between a daily report and a progress report?

A daily report is the site record for one day: crew, weather, work done, deliveries and problems. A progress report sums up the week for the owner and says what you need from them.

How often should a contractor send a progress report to the owner?

Check your contract first, because it may set this. If it does not, weekly is a good habit. It keeps the owner informed and gives you a written record.

Can AI write a construction progress report?

Yes, the first draft. Our AI Employee reads the daily reports and photos and writes the first draft. Your PM checks it and sends it.
