AI for construction › Project Operations

The problem

The risk that sinks the job is the one nobody wrote down.

A late finish penalty or unpriced winter heat hides deep in the contract and site reports. You find it after you sign, and it eats the profit.

The fix ↓

01 Free Excel register and check. 3 minutes.

Know your job's biggest risks today.

For construction companies with 3 to 50 staff. A risk register in Excel with a heat map. First, a 10 question risk check for one job. It tells you what to put in the register.

Up: more likely. Right: bigger impact. Each number is how many open risks sit in that box.

Example. Your heat map fills from your own register.

Highly recommend the team at Veebar Tech! They’ve been a great partner for our web development, coding, and AI needs, taking the time to understand our business and recommend practical solutions. They explain technical concepts clearly, communicate well, and are easy to work with. A knowledgeable, professional, and reliable team—we’re glad to have their support.

Great company to work with, incredibly detail oriented and easy to work with. We really appreciated how they focused on solving the problem, not just appeasing customer desires. The work was returned ahead of schedule with capabilities on par and beyond what we were expecting. …

04 Questions

Short answers.

What is a risk register in construction?

A list of what could go wrong on a job. Each risk has a score, an owner and a next step. You check it as the job moves.

How do you score a construction risk?

Rate the likelihood from 1 to 5 and the impact from 1 to 5, then multiply them. A 5 by 5 heat map puts the high scores in the red corner, so you know where to look first.

What are the biggest risks on a construction project?

For a small or mid-size builder they are often the contract terms and a scope that is not clear. Then site conditions, sub paperwork, cash flow and the price of goods. Then time, people and changes.

Who is responsible for managing risk on a construction project?

Each risk needs one named owner, often the PM or the super. The contract decides who pays if it happens, so read the risk clauses before you sign.

What are designated substances, and who has to list them?

In Ontario they are 11 harmful substances named in the rules, such as asbestos, lead and silica. Section 30 of Ontario's Occupational Health and Safety Act says the owner must list the ones on site. The owner gives the list to bidders before a contract is signed. Other provinces and states have their own rules.

Can AI keep a construction risk register up to date?

Yes. Our AI Employee reads the contract and site reports and keeps the register up to date. Your PM decides.
