How long does submittal review take?
It depends on the job and the designer. The spec or contract often sets the review time, most often in Division 01. Plan to send key items at least twice.
Who is responsible for submittals, the GC or the sub?
Most of the time the sub or supplier makes them. The GC checks them, sends them on and tracks the answers. The designer checks them against the design.
